I was at a blues jam the other day and it made me think of a set of rules for blues jam…..
First rule of Blues Jam, don’t talk about Blues Jam, just Jam.
Second rule of Blues Jam, don’t talk about Blues Jam, just Jam.
Third rule of Blues Jam, if you don’t know the Chord and you don’t know the key, don’t make a sound.
Forth rule of Blues Jam, if you don’t know the Chord and you don’t know the key, don’t try to solo.
Fifth rule of Blues Jam, if you don’t know the chord and you don’t know the key, don’t turn your amp up louder.
Sixth rule of Blues Jam, if you don’t remember the lyrics, don’t stop singing; it just shows you don’t remember the lyrics. Make something up the rhymes and sorta sounds like the correct lyrics. 9 times out of 10 the marks won’t spot the difference. Codicil, the 10th time is when your audience is a group of fellow musicians, but they will get the joke.
Seventh rule of Blues Jam, it’s OK if you suck, as long as you suck in the right key.
